“Peace and Quiet are the best…” This is the motto of young Tomoki, pretty much your average teenager. Well, he’s probably a little bit more perverted than your average teenager, as you soon find out. He enjoys going through his days with very little disturbances, and looking at as many girl’s underwear as possible. This often gets him into trouble, especially with his childhood friend and neighbor. She obviously secretly likes Tomoki, but she won’t hesitate to give him an epic karate chop to the head whenever he acts in a perverted manor. This chick has some serious karate chop action, I’ll tell you. Besides her, there are a few other people that try and make Tomoki’s life as difficult as possible. One is a sort of pseudo-scientist named Eishiro. Eishiro begins almost every episode with a sort of history lesson that quickly changes into a blurb about the “New World,” which is his absolute obsession. To go along with his obsession, he also always has a new assistant that gets creepier as it goes since they are mostly dolls. The other character that threatens Tomoki’s peace and quiet is a girl that matches his sarcasm, and combats his perverted manor by matching it. Mikako is the student body class president; she has a sadistic sense of humor and her family is practically the mob, enough said.
Now that we know the characters, what in the heck is this story about? Well, it all starts off one day when Tomoki agrees to meet Eishiro in the middle of a field to investigate a mysterious formation that has been moving across the world. Tomoki soon realizes that Eishiro has ditched him after he gets a phone call from him warning him to run, because the formation had settled directly above him. Good friend, right? After a spectacular light show, and a somehow still alive Tomoki, we find one of the people that will truly end Tomoki’s peace and quiet. Ikaros, an angelic humanoid, appeared in front of Tomoki in the bottom of a crater. Upon contact she tells Tomoki that he is her master, and she will do anything he wants. She will also grant any wish he desires, and yes, she has massive breasts. Obviously, the teenager goes nuts with this. One of his first wishes, in fact, involve him running around the town nude. Of course, after that he accidentally wishes that everyone in the world was dead, so there is some good and bad. Luckily, he wishes that it was all a dream and everybody comes back to life. Ikaros threatens his daily quest for peace and quiet simply because she doesn’t understand basic human emotion or modern lifestyle. His peace and quiet is done for with the arrival of another humanoid named Nymph, but instead of worshiping him as her master she constantly gripes about him. There is also a third arrival, but you can see that if you decide to watch it.
As a whole, this anime is okay. It’s good for a good laugh or too, a nice breast or twenty, but the story is pretty weak. Tomoki’s dialogue is pretty amazing since it is pretty much unfiltered, meaning he says what you would expect him to say. If you are looking for a nice laugh and breasts, go for it. If you are wanting to pick up an anime with a good story line, this is not the winner.
